How can we help?
Hands on learning: We have animal mounts, furs, tracks, and replica-scat and more for your students to use.
Visual learning: We have videos and Power Point presentations that are specifically designed to educate the community.
Get out there: One of the best ways to learn is by immersion. Practice tracking actual animals, forestry techniques, analyzing soil and identifying native and invasive plants, and animals in their habitat. If you can make time, come visit the Nature Center for outdoors, hands-on programs.
Our trained staff: Linda Besio and Joel Danko both have degrees in biology; Zowie Auger in Ecology, Animal Behavior, and Conservation; Ian Love has been trained by our staff on the knowledge that they’ve been taught through the years; and have in-depth knowledge of this area’s flora and fauna.
