DESCRIPTION:St. Regis Mohawk Tribe Environment Division\, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation\, and the Nicandri Nature Center will be hosting a World Turtle Day event at the Nicandri Nature Center. There will be display booths and information\, presentations\, fun family activities and more. \n10-2 Turtle coloring sheets\, turtle themed scavenger hunt\, craft station\, exhibit booths \n10 am – Turtles of New York – learn about the wide variety of species that call northern New York home and meet some live turtles \n11am – Turtle Craft – join in some fun turtle craft projects and learn more about what makes a turtle a turtle \n12:15 pm Jessica Jock\, Remediation and Restoration Program Manager at St. Regis Mohawk Tribe Environment Division will speak on “Contamination in Turtles in the Area of Concern”
